Later in November, I'll be participating in the Minis on Main show at 30 Main Street, Peterborough, New Hampshire. The show is comprised of artworks (paintings, sculpture, and other craft items) that all measure 5 inches or less in any dimension. The show opens the weekend of November 30, and I’ll be there with the other artists to meet guests at the opening receptions on Friday November 29, and Saturday November 30, from 10AM to 6PM.
Over the last month or so, I’ve done 16 new paintings for the show, most measuring just 4 inches square, and a few at 5 inches. Working at that size has actually been harder than painting larger panels, particularly if my subject had any degree of detail. I’m pretty happy with the results, but at this point, I’m really ready to move on to some larger paintings.
If you are in the area, I hope you’ll try to stop by and see the show. I haven’t seen any of the other work yet, but I know some of the artists and I’m sure the show will have a lot to offer. Come by, look me up, and I’ll tell you about what I’m doing now and some of my plans for future paintings.
For Members of My Mail List
This post will be the first to go out to my new consolidated email list—from the Auctions Announcement list and the Studio Journal list. If you’ve signed up for the Auctions list, and would prefer not to receive messages from this list, you can unsubscribe from the list with the link at the bottom of the message. But I hope that you’ll decide to stay on. This list will provide a more interesting stream of posts with news about what’s happening in the studio now, and still including announcements of new auctions and paintings for sale direct from my site. And, of course, you’ll still be entered into the annual raffle.
